The Lady Freethinker, a not-for-profit agency operating out of Los Angeles, USA, has announced an open call for its Urgent Need Fund to help organisations involved with the rescue and care of animals in need.
The Urgent Need Fund is for organisations that are planning or currently working on projects to rescue or care for animals or raise awareness to improve the way animals are treated. This may include rescue missions, medical care, food, housing, or educational programs.
Organisations from anywhere in the world are eligible to apply for grants of up to $10,000 (£8,200) each. The deadline for applications is Friday 23rd September 2022.
To determine whether the Urgent Need Fund may be a good fit for your organisation, it must be:
o Registered as a 501(c) (3) non-profit organisation in the United States or registered as an NGO in your country (a501(c)(3) organisation is a United States corporation, trust, unincorporated association or other type of organisation exempt from federal income tax);
o Established for at least 2 years;
