The Supporting Act Foundation – grants of up to £42,964 over 2-years are available to support emerging artists from underrepresented or marginalised groups (application deadline: 1st October 2026)

The Supporting Act Foundation is an independent, Amsterdam-based not-for-profit organisation that provides funding and resources to emerging artists and arts-focused not-for-profit agencies supporting underrepresented and mariginalised groups.

The Foundation is currently inviting applications to its Impact Grant programme from arts-focused not-for-profits that provide non-financial support to emerging artists from underrepresented groups.

The deadline for applications is Thursday 1st October 2026.

Eligible applicants must be not-for-profit organisations that provide non-financial support to emerging artists from underrepresented groups or those facing systemic barriers in the creative and cultural industries.

Organisations must be registered as a non-profit in one of the following countries:

o Belgium.
o France.
o Germany.
o Greece.
o Ireland.
o Italy.
o The Netherlands.
o Portugal.
o Spain, or
o The United Kingdom,

or have a fiscal host registered in one of these countries. Applicants should be in the emerging stage of development, operating as a not-for-profit for between 2 and 7 years and have a total annual expenditure of between €50,000 (£42,964) and €500,000 (£429,645) in the current fiscal year.

Ten (10) unrestricted grants of €50,000 each (£42,964) will be awarded over a 2-year period, with no restrictions on how organisations choose to spend the funds. The grants are intended to help cover core costs such as salaries or any other expenses critical to the successful development of the organization’s work. In addition to funding, grantees can join the Foundation’s Grantee Network, gaining access to online events, workshops, peer exchange, and promotion through its communication channels.

The Impact Grant was established to address the need for unrestricted, infrastructural support for arts-focused not-for-profit organisations that empower emerging artists from underrepresented backgrounds. By providing flexible funding, the programme aims to strengthen the ecosystem for creative and cultural work, enabling organizations to focus on long-term growth and impact rather than short-term outputs and compliance.

The grant specifically targets organisations whose work improves living conditions for artists, increases their visibility, and enables them to dedicate more time to developing their practices. The program recognises that most funding in the arts sector is restricted, often diverting energy away from creative and community work and seeks to counter this by investing in trust-based, flexible support.
