The PPL Momentum Music Fund provides financial support to UK-based artists and bands who are at a crucial turning point in their careers and are ready to grow to the next stage.
The Fund offers grants ranging from £5,000 to £15,000 to help artists and bands who demonstrate clear progression and growth in their careers. Applicants must show strong potential to significantly develop over the next two years and must already have a growing presence within the UK music scene.
The deadline for applications is Monday 11th May 2026.
The Fund focuses on supporting activities such as:
o Recording new music including albums, EPs, or singles along with associated production costs like producer, engineer, mixer, studio hire, and session musicians.
o Touring within the UK covering travel, accommodation, musician fees, production design, tour management, and equipment hire.
o Marketing and promotions including PR, radio plugging, digital campaigns, music videos, and merchandise production, and
o limited support for purchasing equipment, software, or hardware, which can cover up to 20% of total costs.
The funding is intended for activities that take place within the UK. However, in exceptional cases, international activities such as recording abroad may be supported if applicants can clearly justify why the activity cannot be carried out within the UK and consult with the fund team regarding eligibility.
Applications can be submitted directly by artists or bands, as well as by representatives including managers, labels, publishers, booking agents, PR professionals, lawyers, or other trusted advisors. To be eligible, applicants must be based in the UK, create and perform their own music, and demonstrate recognition through national press, media coverage, or UK-wide blogs. They should also have experience performing multiple shows across the UK and present evidence of a strong and growing fan base both regionally and nationally. Additionally, having at least one professional team member supporting the artist is required.
Please note that the Fund does not support artists who are signed to major label deals, ensuring that independent and developing talent remains the primary focus.
