Impetus, a charity that aims to transform the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, and the Henry Smith Charity are offering two grants of £100,000 in core, unrestricted funding per year for at least two years to organisations that support young people who are from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed in school, work and life.
The Engage Fund, which is only available for projects in England, is particularly interested in receiving applications from impact-led charities who support young people in mainstream and/or alternative provision with engagement outcomes and reducing lost learning. Applicants will be required to have an ambition to grow their impact using meaningful benchmarked data.
Applying organisations: should be:
o Working to improve school engagement and reduce exclusions and lost learning for students in mainstream schools, and/or
o Working to improve engagement and/or attainment outcomes for children who have been excluded from school.
Successful organisations will receive:
o £100,000 in core, unrestricted funding per year for at least 2 years.
o The expertise of our dedicated Investment team, and
o Access to our world-class pro bono network.
This programme has a 2-stage application process. Stage 1 is to complete an online eligibility form. This should not take more than 10 minutes.
The deadline for Stage 1 applications is midnight on Thursday 8th February 2024.
