The BRIT Trust: Grants of up to £10,000 are available to UK registered charities for activities that improve lives through the power of music and the creative arts (application deadline: 30th April 2025)

The British Record Industry Trust (the BRIT Trust) is currently accepting applications for grant funding consistent with its mission of “improving lives through the power of music and the creative arts”.

Applications can be made by UK registered charities based and working in England, Scotland or Northern Ireland through the BRIT Trust website or in some cases via other referrals. The BRIT Trust is unable to consider grants for individuals/scholarships, nor will it make grants for any activity outside of the UK.

The majority of grants awarded are for less than £10,000, with the occasional higher award. Around 10 grants are awarded each year in total.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 30th April 2025.

Eligible applicants are requested to complete and submit this application form.

Applications must set out:

o Full details about the organisation and its grant request.
o The rationale and aims for any planned activity that a grant would enable, and
o A detailed description of the expected benefits,  including how likely these are to be forthcoming and in what way they will be achieved.

The Trust’s Grant Committee will review applications in light of its mission and the strength of the case being made, while also taking into account its long-term and other existing commitments and any grant-making priorities the Trustees may decide upon at any given time.

Further information is available on the BRIT Trust website.
