Royal Mail is currently seeking to partner with a national charity that is focused on heart health and will bring a positive, long lasting impact to communities across the United Kingdom. The partnership will be for a 4-year term.
Royal Mail has chosen heart health as a cause because poor heart health is one of the leading causes of absence among its workers.
Three charities will be shortlisted, with Royal Mail employees having a say on the final decision. During the four-year partnership with Royal Mail, employees will be encouraged to raise money, volunteer and provide pro bono support for the charity selected.
Royal Mail’s last national charity partnership was with Action for Children and focused on mental health. The charity was selected because its proposition supported a new mental health support programme for young people in schools.
How to apply
For more information and to receive an application form, charities should email community@royalmail.com by 4pm on Friday 15th July 2022.
Forms will be sent to those interested from Monday 18th July and the closing date for applications is 4pm on Friday 12th August 2022.
Community investment is a key strand of Royal Mail’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy, with 2021-22 seeing it invest £5.6 million here alone, and its national charity partnership a key element of this. As well as Action for Children, other previous national charity partnerships have included The Stroke Association and Prostate Cancer UK. All partnerships have raised over £2 million for Royal Mail’s nominated charity.
