Project Giving Alliance distributes £68 million worth of goods and services in its inaugural year

The Product Giving Alliance, founded in May 2020 by In Kind Direct, FareShare, Charity Digital and International Health Partners, has distributed £68m worth of goods and services in its first year.

The Product Giving Alliance was founded to help distribute donated products, services and surplus in an efficient way to people in communities around the UK and overseas. 

So far, it has supported over 16,700 charities and communities throughout the UK and overseas.

o In Kind Direct has distributed 8m hygiene products, including hand washes and toilet roll and continues to support nearly 250,000 people every week with essentials.

o Charity Digital has helped save £13m on discounted tech software including Zoom and Microsoft.

o FareShare has provided 131.9mmeals to vulnerable people and has donated 5.2 tonnes of food, while

o International Health Partners has provided 9.1m medical treatments, supporting around 3m people including the support of Covid-19 patients in low and middle-income countries.

In Kind Direct’s network of charitable organisations have seen an 80% increase along with continued demand for their services since the beginning of 2020.
