Our Friday website article each week is dedicated to listing national grant programmes with an upcoming application deadline. All of the programmes summarised below are featured in detail in the daily grants bulletin we send out at 8.30 each weekday morning throughout the year.
The following list covers the period Monday 24th August to Sunday 6th September 2026.

Grants of up to £150,000 over 3-years area available to support carers aged 65 and over who are experiencing financial hardship

HENRY SMITH FOUNDATION: WELCOME FOR NEWCOMER’S FUND
Grants of up to £200,000 over 3 years are available to UK organisations helping refugees, asylum seekers and migrants rebuild their lives

THE HILDEN CHARITABLE TRUST: UK GRANTS PROGRAMME
Grants, generally for between £5,000 and £7,000 per year for up to 2 years, are available to smaller UK charitable organisations working to support asylum seekers, refugees and penal affairs in the UK.

THE ELISE PILKINGTON CHARITABLE TRUST: EQUINE GRANTS
Capital grants, generally for between £2,500 and £15,000, are available to UK registered charities working in the equine sector.

THE REES JEFFREY ROAD FUND
Grants of up to £30,000 are available to UK registered charities, researchers and academic institutions for projects that promote the advancement of road-related research and education, as well as roadside improvement projects.

SCHRODER CHARITY TRUST
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to UK registered charities with an annual income of between £150,000 and £1 million for activities that (1) enable children and young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds to thrive and achieve their potential in education and employment, and (2) strengthen communities through services and opportunities which enhance the wellbeing and life outcomes of vulnerable and disadvantaged people.

YOUTH MUSIC TRAILBLAZER FUND (ROUND 13)
The Fund offers grants ranging from £2,000 to £30,000 for organisations in England to run projects for young people aged 25 or under. The programme focuses on: (1) Early years; (2) Disabled; (3) d/Deaf and neurodivergent young people; (4) Young people involved with the youth justice system; (5) Young people facing barriers; (6) Young adults, and (6) Organisations and the workforce.

THE ALDI SPORTS FUND FOR ENGLAND AND WALES
Grants of up to £2,000 are available to support the essential club costs of grassroots sports organisations in England and Wales. Details of the availability of the Sports Fund in Scotland can be found on the Aldi website.

ALLAN AND NESTA FERGUSON CHARITABLE SETTLEMENT LARGE GRANTS
Large Grants over £50,000 are available to UK registered charities and universities that are working to promote education, international friendship and understanding, and world peace and development in the UK and/or overseas. Applications for a Small or Medium Grant up to £50,000 may be made at any time.
Monday 31 August 2026 for applications over £5,000. Applications for under £5,000 may be made at any time.
BAILY THOMAS CHARITABLE TRUST
Capital, core, research and revenue grants up to and over £5,000 are available to UK registered and exempt charities for the care and relief of children, young people and adults with learning disabilities in the UK.

THE EMERTON-CHRISTIE CHARITY
Small grants, usually for either £1,000, £2,000 or £3,000 are available to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas for core funding or project costs. The Charity’s main areas of focus are education, training, disability, health, arts, culture, heritage, environment, conservation and science.

THE JAMES TUDOR FOUNDATION MENTAL HEALTH GRANTS PROGRAMME
Grants of up to £25,000 over 12 months are available to regional and national charities across the UK with an annual income of under £20 million that are helping children and young people recover from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and parents affected by ACEs, mental illness or addiction.

THE JAMES TUDOR FOUNDATION PHYSICAL HEALTH GRANT PROGRAMME
Grants of up to £25,000 are available for UK health charities that provide therapeutic interventions, health information, and direct healthcare.

THE LECHE TRUST
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to UK registered charities, public authorities and institutions to support projects in the areas of the performing arts, particularly dance, music and theatre, and conservation, with an emphasis on pre-Victorian buildings, including churches and collections.

WISE MUSIC FOUNDATION
A limited number of grants for between £500 and £5,000 (but averaging £1,500) are available to smaller UK charitable organisations with an annual turnover of under £500,000 that are working in the UK and/or overseas to support people experiencing hardship, distress and illness, with a focus on children, the homeless and people living in poverty.

One-off grants, generally for between £500 and £3,000, are available to UK registered charities, not-for-profit organisations and individuals to assist the public performance of contemporary music and independent musicological research.

Grants, generally for up to £3,000, are available to charitable organisations and individuals in the UK, the Republic of Ireland and overseas to support for the work of professional composers of the last 100 years, and work which furthers the understanding of the life and music of Ralph Vaughan Williams and Ursula Vaughan Williams.

REWILDING BRITAIN: THE REWILDING INNOVATION FUND
Grants of up to £15,000 are available for projects in England, Scotland and Wales that remove barriers to rewilding projects. Projects that take an innovative approach to land and marine rewilding are particularly welcomed.
