The Role

“Office-based, working from our Dartington, Totnes, Devon space, the Training Coordinator will manage our training programme. Courses are currently online (Zoom) but we hope to return to face-to-face in 2023 in Plymouth, London & Edinburgh. Travel may be involved for first few courses.

“Tasks are mainly admin based and some repetitive work is involved. There will be training & supervision on all aspects of the role.

Tasks

o Plan annual training programme dates and books trainers.
o Reply to course enquiries, enter course booking into spreadsheet and send relevant pre-course info.
o Collect new emails for our mailing list (Going online and finding new suitable organisations/people for our courses).
o Entering course information onto free online listings & social media.
o Deal with bespoke course enquiries.
o Manage mailing lists (adding and removing subscribers).
Supply tech support to online courses (Zoom training & support given). 1 – 2 days per month (9.30am – 3.15pm).
o Input accounts and receipts (entering expenses & income into a spreadsheet),

Person specification

Essential Skills and Experience

o Attention to detail – to complete repetitive tasks systematically.
o Proficient in using Outlook email, Word, internet searches via Google and at least basic understanding of Excel spreadsheets.
o Customer-focused (phone/email) – willing to help and problem solve.
o Self-motivated.

Desirable skills

o Passion for social issues.
o Interest in marketing projects and programmes of training.
o Experience organising training courses or events,
