The Community Council for Somerset was established in 1926 to inspire and enable positive change for Somerset’s people, places and enterprises with a diverse team of passionate local experts.

The position of Senior Community Officer is an initial 1-year post with the possibility of an extension subject to funding.

This is a part-time post (24-28 hours per week) with a full-time equivalent salary of £29,512 per annum.

The deadline for applications is 12pm on Tuesday 26th September 2023.

The Senior Community Officer will be part of CCS’s Programmes team and will be expected to provide  professional advice and support to a variety of community organisations, including those from diverse ethnic backgrounds and social enterprises. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a range of partners and stakeholders to include other voluntary sector organisations, social enterprises the statutory sector and funders to deliver projects and programmes.
