“Caring Town Totnes has secured a 3-year grant from The National Lottery’s Reaching Communities Fund to deliver our exciting and innovative community plan which focuses on mental health, young people and Issues arising from isolation.

“We are looking for a creative, flexible, and experienced Project manager and Coordinator with a passion for making a  difference in their community.

“The job will entail working with the rich network of public, voluntary and private providers of health, care, and well being services in the town to enable them to continue to meet, identify needs and gaps in provision and support opportunities for joint working.

“To do this you will build on the existing infrastructure of support which has been created over the past 7 years fostering  collaboration and the development of emerging ideas. You can see some of this work in our latest project report.

“Building on this support infrastructure and existing strong network, and the recent work during the COVID-19 outbreak which has brought those organisations even closer together, you will ensure that there is an active dialogue between these organisations, user groups and the Town Council to ensure all practical ideas for provision are being heard and supported; and that the response is as “joined up” as possible.

“Our ideal candidate will have experience of managing networks with organisations and groups of differing size, capacity, and service provision. S/he will be able to easily connect with people in a range of settings and have excellent facilitation, convening and project management skills, and be able to maintain good relationships with a range of stakeholders.

“You will work alone for some of the time and be self-managing and self-motivating.

“This part-time, fixed term contract will run from October 2021 to September 2024, based in Totnes. Hours are flexible and will depend to a large degree on the project plan that is produced, but the budget allows for around 3 days per week on average.

“The application deadline is midnight on Wednesday September 1st, 2021.

“Interviews will take place in Totnes on September 9th 2021.

“This role will be line managed by a Director of the Caring Town project.
