The Birch Collective, a social enterprise dedicated to helping people aged 16-25 in Bristol and the surrounding areas who might be feeling isolated, overwhelmed, or unsure of their place in the world, is currently seeking to recruit to a maternity cover position for its Operations Manager role for the period 19th February 2025 to the end of October 2025. This role will support the Birch Collective’s team and work closely with the Director to ensure everything runs smoothly.
As this is a broad role, encompassing a number of different aspects that the outgoing Director has held responsibility for, the Collective is looking for someone who is driven, fast to learn and has wide ranging experience.
The key arrangements for the post are:
o Job title: Operations Manager (Maternity Cover).
o Responsible to: Director Tim George.
o Place of work: 30-64 Pennywell Road Bristol BS5 0TG.
o Hours of work: 15 hrs per week (2 days) This may include occasional extra paid days of work.
o Days of work: Wednesday/Thursday.
o Contract Type: 9 month maternity cover (19th Feb 2025 – end of October 2025).
o Annual leave: 28 days pro rata (inclusive of bank holidays).
o Probationary period: 3 months.
o Salary: £36,600 – £40,039 pro rata depending on experience (PAYE salaried
employment including paid holidays, NI contributions & optional
pension contribution via the NEST scheme).
