The Amber Foundation, an established charity which supports vulnerable and disadvantaged young people to transform their own lives by helping them move out of homelessness and unemployment into bright secure futures, is currently seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Counsellor for one day per week (Monday to Friday) at its Chawleigh, Devon centre.

” The Amber Foundation offers supported accommodation to homeless, unemployed and disadvantaged young people who are facing multiple challenges. This includes a lack of training, education or employment and mental health difficulties (including addiction and substance misuse problems). They may also have been involved in crime and anti-social behaviour.
” We are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Counsellor to join our existing and dedicated staff team to provide one to one, face to face therapeutic counselling to clients aged 16-30 for between 8 to 10 sessions. This is a one day per week (Mon to Fri) post which will be based at our residential centre located in Mid Devon. The successful candidate will be a qualified counsellor, holding a Level 4 diploma/ foundation degree or higher in Counselling and must be a fully registered member of BACP/UKCP/NCS or equivalent.
o Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term.
o Contract length: 12 months.
o Part-time hours: 8 hours per week.
o Salary: £12,960.00 per annum.
