The Community Council for Somerset (CCS) is currently seeking to recruit an Operations Manager to fulfil a critical role in a growing organisation, ensuring the smooth running of all Agent services through effective performance-related people management. o Salary: £32,252 – £34,333 per annum depending on experience.
o Hours: 35 hours per week.
o Location: home-based working and attendance at CCS Office on a regular basis.
o Countywide travel will be required.
o Contract length: initial 1 year contract.
o Holiday entitlement: 25 days per year plus bank holidays – pro rata for part time staff.
o Reports to: Chief Executive.

o Interviews to take place during the week commencing Monday 13 September 2021.
o Support and deputise for the Development Manager as appropriate.
o Directly line manage all Locality and Specialist Managers and the
Carers Service Coordinator.
o As a member of the Senior Management Team assist in leading all
managers and operational staff to deliver against the strategic
aims of the organisation.
o Ensure that the impact of Agent services is demonstrated and
o Contribute towards the strategic direction of the organisation.
o Contribute to the development of internal operations.
o Act as the organisations Accountable Emergency Officer and
o Lead and manage all Agent Services ensuring safe, effective, highquality person-centered service delivery.
o Line manage Locality and Specialist Managers to ensure maximum
performance and continuous professional and personal development.
o Work with HR and other Senior Managers to ensure adequate and
consistent resource provision in all Agent Services.
o Ensure cohesion and integration of Agent services with all aspects of
CCS, SCL and SDC project delivery in order to maximise opportunities to
improve the quality of life for individuals and communities in Somerset.
