Job Opportunity: Fundraising Officer (16 hours per week, home-based) at Hampshire-based youth charity, Oarsome Chance (applications may be made at any time)

Oarsome Chance, a Gosport, Hampshire based charity that focuses on young people who are disengaged from mainstream education and are at risk of exclusion and suffering disadvantage, is currently seeking to recruit a part-time Fundraising Officer.

This is a part-time, home-based position for 16 hours per week, with a salary of £23-25k per annum full time equivalent (pro rata), depending on experience.

“Oarsome Chance (OC) are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join its team. The charity delivers educational programmes to young people in the Gosport, Havant and Southampton area in Hampshire. Having just launched its first ever Vision Strategy,  Oarsome Chance is keen to diversify and grow its income.

“Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, you will deliver and further develop their established Trusts and Foundations fundraising function, as well as supporting the development of other income sources via fundraising campaigns, corporate partnerships and events to reduce the reliance on grants. 

“The role (16 hours per week) will be home based with travel occasionally to Havant and Gosport, with flexibility in hours of work and when they are carried out. The role would suit a candidate who wants to build their experience as a fundraiser or who requires a flexible role. You will bring at least 1 years’ experience of a similar role or other suitable experience, and be confident to research funding opportunities, write applications, and manage the end-to-end process with trusts and grant-making bodies to achieve income targets.
