The Island Trust, a Plymouth-based charity that runs Sail Training voyages for independent individuals aged 13 to 19 years during the school holidays, group team building days and occasional voyages specifically for adults (its boats are also available to hire for film and television work), is currently seeking to recruit a Fundraising Manager.

This is a part-time, 4 days (30 hours) a week, permanent position with a salary of £30,000-£33,400 per annum pro rata, depending on qualities and experience.

“We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join The Island Trust’s shore based team. Reporting to the Trustees, you will be responsible for researching fundraising opportunities and writing grant applications to charitable trusts or statutory bodies, building relationships with major donors, managing your own budget and ensuring targets are met, developing and organising fundraising campaigns and events, spotting fundraising opportunities and raising awareness of the organisation’s work.
