Spark Somerset, an infrastructure charity that provides information, advice, training and support to the voluntary and community sector in Somerset, is currently seeking to recruit a home-based, part-time (22.5-30 hours per week) Funding Officer.

“We’re on a mission to help change lives and build healthy, resilient communities in Somerset.
“We do this by supporting and championing voluntary and community organisations and providing a range of services, training and funding advice.
“We want organisations to be sustainable so that they can continue to meet the needs of the communities they support, yet we know how challenging gaining funding can be.
“The Funding Officer will play a key role in supporting a wide range of organisations and groups across a range of funding issues, including strategy development, application writing, and community and donor-based fundraising.
“No organisation or query is the same, so this is a really varied role, with the chance to get involved in a range of initiatives including events, publicity, content creation, training and developing resources.
“You will be supported by the Funding Lead and have flexibility to develop skills and experience in the areas you are most interested in.
“This is a part time role, 22.5-30 hours per week, with flexibility around when and where you work. The annual salary is £25,000 (FTE).
