“Do you enjoy helping people and building ideas to real projects?
“We are looking for a new Fishing Animateur to join our team. This post is based at our site in Newlyn but with the expectation of also working out of our Penzance or Looe sites, or our main office in Redruth, and occasional travel around the UK coast.
“What is an Animateur? Someone who encourages and supports people to make their ideas a reality. In this role, you will help our management team to develop projects and support them with the evidence needed to make well researched applications for funding which meets the needs and request of our communities. Though you need not be an expert in data presentation, social return on investment or excel, a willingness to learn and shape ideas is vital. You will work alongside a small team of specialist animateurs. You need no fishing knowledge!
“It will be your job to help people through the steps to make an idea a reality. You will develop applications by finding quotes, gathering business details and inputting this information into a business plan and application. You will use the knowledge you grow from project work to share ideas and support others.
“We are looking for someone educated to a degree level in any field. We would like you to have good written skills and strong spreadsheet skills. We actively support diversity in the work place and encourage everyone who meets our criteria to apply.
“We encourage all staff to undertake training and we will teach you all you need to know to deliver the job.
