The Island Collection is a registered charity (no. 1183881) whose aim is to establish the Isle of Wight as a significant cultural destination by:
o Strengthening and underpinning the Island’s cultural sector.
o Providing an expert strategic voice that represents the Island’s cultural organisations, and
o Working with place making agencies, to enhance the Island’s cultural environment for living, working and visiting.
The Island Collection is now recruiting their first two executive roles following funding from the Arts Council England and Artswork.
We would be grateful if you could forward details of the posts to anyone in your networks who may be interested in finding out more or applying. Many thanks to Lisa Gagliani MBE for asking us to circulate details.
Both roles are part time, approximately 2-3 days a week and are home-based.
The Collective is looking for an experienced Executive Director with proven bid writing skills, who will lead the implementation of its strategy supported by its highly engaged trustee board.
The Collective is also looking for a Programme Facilitator for its youth arts and mental health programme, as part of the Cultural Education Partnership. This role is open also as a self-employed role if preferred.
To apply for either role, please download the job spec and email your application to hello@islandcollection.org.uk by 5pm on Monday 28th February. Please indicate which role you are applying for in the subject line.
The Collection will be assessing all submissions received against the following criteria:
o Understanding of the brief and key objectives.
o Proposed approach.
o Experience and expertise, and
o Value for money.
Please note that trustees will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis, so may call eligible candidates to interview before the closing date. Interested candidates are therefore encouraged to apply early and are also welcome to request an informal chat before applying.
To discuss the brief or for more information, please contact Chris Slann, Chair of IW CEP via
The Island Collection at hello@islandcollection.org.uk.
Successful applicants will require a DBS check.
Full details about both posts are available on The Island Collection website.
