Sunrise Diversity, a Barnstaple based charity dedicated to empowering diverse communities across Northern Devon, has been awarded a grant of £499,980 over five years from the National Lottery Community Fund.
The funding will enable Sunrise Diversity to continue delivering inclusive services across Northern Devon and recruit 4 new team members, strengthening its capacity to deliver the 5-year programme of safe spaces, advocacy, and community development work.

Following confirmation of the National Lottery Community Fund grant, Sunrise Diversity is recruiting to the following new part-time roles as it expand its work through the See Me project. These roles are key to helping grow the charity, develop new programmes, and increase capacity for community work.
Applications for all posts close on Monday 6th April 2026 with all roles scheduled to begin from the week commencing Monday 1st June 2026.
The posts available are:
1. Community Inclusion Development Officer – Lead LGBTQ+ and multicultural group activities, wellbeing sessions, and initiatives to strengthen community connections.
2. Community Operations Manager – Provide operational leadership, manage our core services and small team, and act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead.
3. Finance Officer – Support the day-to-day financial management, grant reporting, and compliance of the charity.
4. Fundraising & Communications Officer – Lead fundraising initiatives, manage communications and digital presence, and support sustainability and growth.
All roles are part-time with hybrid working from Sunrise Diversity’s central Barnstaple office, offering competitive pro-rata salaries, holiday, and pension benefits.
