Trainers:
Emma Beeston – Philanthropy Advisor – Emma Beeston Consultancy
Emma has worked in the UK charity sector for over 20 years with experience in youth work and mental health. Since 2001, she has managed grant making programmes at St Monica Trust, BBC Children in Need and Lloyds Bank Foundation and co-chaired a regional network of funders, Funding South West. In 2015, she established Emma Beeston Consultancy which advises philanthropists and funders on effective giving including grant making strategy and practice. Recent clients include: Oak Foundation, AIM Foundation, Comic Relief, Trafford Youth Trust.
Emma is a lecturer on CASS Business School’s Charity Masters Programme and the University of Kent’s Masters in Philanthropic Giving. She also delivers training for the Association of Charitable Foundation’s professional development programme.
Mike Bartlett – Senior Consultant – Money Tree Fundraising
Mike is successful high-value fundraiser, having developed sustainable major donor programmes from scratch at a number of well-known and lesser known charities. Mike speaks regularly and blogs on the topic of practical major donor fundraising. He has trained over 200+ staff and trustees on making that all important ask.
Recent major donor clients include International Health Partners, Greenpeace, Centrepoint, Trees for Cities, CFAB, British Exploring Society, Sailors’ Society, London Air Ambulance, Sarcoma UK, Vision Aid Overseas and several hospices. In 2018 Mike Chaired the Institute of Fundraising Major Donor Conference in London.
