Grants of up to £10,000 from The National Lottery Awards for All programme are still available for community-led events throughout 2022 to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee year. The programme gives out almost £80 million of National Lottery funding in all parts of the UK each year.
The strongest applications will demonstrate a lasting impact beyond the event itself. They will also promote relationships across generations, develop the skills and experience of communities, or encourage the care of/action in the natural world as part of the celebrations. Applications can also be accepted for one-off events that celebrate the Platinum Jubilee year in 2022 which meet these criteria.
£4.5 million of National Lottery funding was awarded to 91 community projects across the UK through The Platinum Jubilee Fund, as part of its wider contribution of £22 million towards the Jubilee.
Windmill Hill City Farm Ltd in Bristol was awarded a grant of £50,000 to reinvigorate a neglected city farm into a thriving community space. The aim is to bring it back into community use and encourage residents to have pride in this local space. This will ensure the organisation continues to provide a range of education, recreation and therapy support services, supporting people with health and social care needs and providing opportunities for personal development through school visits, courses and volunteering.
