FREE Great South West regional event to unlock the region’s green and blue economies (Friday 16th June 2023, 1.30-3.30pm, Exeter College)

The Great South West is a pan-regional partnership covering the counties of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset. It is led by business and focused on delivering a larger and more productive economy, unlocking the potential of the region’s green and blue economies, and driving investment into the region.

The Partnership was formally launched at the House of Lords in January 2023, and has received support from Government, through the Department for Levelling-Up, as one of the country’s ‘Powerhouse Partnerships’, alongside the Northern Powerhouse, Midlands Engine, and the Western Gateway.

The Partnership’s priorities are set out in its prospectus, ‘Securing Our Future‘, which recognises the  area’s key strengths around its green and blue economy, and aims to deliver £45 billion of economic benefit and 190,000 new jobs over the next 15 years.

The Great South West Partnership Board is hosting a series of events across the region to update on its emerging ambitions and priorities, how people can get involved, and how a Partnership working at this geography and scale can add real value, particularly at a time of significant challenges facing our business and communities, and real opportunities across our blue and green economies.

You can join the Great South West for its FREE briefing regional event in Exeter on Friday 16th June 2023 between 1.30pm and 3.30pm, where the Partnership will be sharing the Great South West’s emerging ambitions and priorities for the region.
