Fit For Life Awards, offering grant support of £84,000 to agencies that are pioneering projects to promote lifelong fitness and health, is currently inviting applications (application deadline: 23rd February 2023)

Do you know an organisation or initiative that directly addresses healthy aging for older or middle-aged people? If you can answer ‘yes’, then please consider applying for the Fit for Life Awards.

The Awards, which are provided by the Fit For Life Foundation, a public interest, not-for-profit foundation based in Liechtenstein and founded in 2020, provides applicants with multi-year financial support to steadily scale up their programs, while building public awareness of the importance of healthy aging for communities. The Foundation is looking for innovative programs that display a clear vision, are focused on beneficiaries’ needs, and are both sustainable and scalable.

The award scheme is open to applicants from all countries and has an application deadline of Thursday 23rd February 2023.

Areas of Impact

The mission and activities of the organization or initiative must directly address healthy aging for older (65+ years) or middle-aged people (45+ years). They welcome solutions relevant to:

o Physical fitness.
o Exercise and sport.
o Mental well-being.
o Mobility.
o Nutrition.
o At-home care.
o Community support for older people.
o Prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and
o Other forms of preventative health support.

Funding Information

Every year, the Fit for Life Foundation awards grants of EUR 100,000 (£84,000) each to 3 non-profit organisations or social enterprises that are pioneering projects to promote lifelong fitness and health.

Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony that will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, in September/October 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Fit for Life Awards, applicants must meet the following criteria:

o The organisation or initiative must be legally registered as a non-profit or social enterprise in its country/countries of operations.

The Foundation does not accept applications from the following types of organisations:

o Research institutes.
o Government/public sector institutes.
o Political organisations, or
o Organisations that discriminate in their leadership, staffing, or service provision on the basis of age, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, national origin, political affiliation, religious belief or sexual orientation.
