The Capability Support Programme – a new scheme for community-led organisations.
The Dunhill Medical Trust is offering the opportunity for eligible UK-based community-led organisations working with older people to access a tailored programme of capability-building support through its chosen partner, Moore Kingston Smith, who specialise in developing financial sustainability and evaluating impact.
By “community organisation”, the Trust means any third sector organisation with a local and/or community focus providing services and support to older people (where at least 75% of the beneficiaries are over 60 years of age).
Through the Dunhill Trust’s Capability Support Programme (scroll down the the section headed “Capability funding for community organisations”), successful applicants will receive a flexible service over a 9–12-month period which will encompass:
o Bespoke and specialist support following diagnosis of the main organisational requirement.
o Access to a team of specialists in key skills areas, and
o A mentoring process with a clear, bespoke action plan.
Support will be provided in four areas:
1. Project review, business modelling.
2. Measuring and managing impact.
3. Good financial management; and
4. Strategic fundraising support.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on 20 September 2021. Eligible applicants will then be shortlisted and advised of the outcome of their application week commencing 27 September 2021.
If you are a community-led organisation working with older people and think you could benefit from receiving support in one or more of these areas, please click HERE for further information (you’ll need to scroll down the page to the section headed “Capability funding for community organisations”).
