This is short notice, but if you’re interested in creating or living in a dementia inclusive community, multi-award charity Reminiscence Learning, based in Somerset but active across the UK, is holding a special event this Friday. Reminiscence Learning specialises in providing support and activities for people with dementia and their carers.
Reminiscence Learning’s Press Release states:
“This is just a reminder that our Celebration Event is on the 20th March (this Friday!), on-site at our Hamlands Centre, Wellington, Somerset TA21 9HY.
“We are celebrating the end of the research project we have been conducting with Bath Spa University and sharing with you all the valuable information we have found.
“Do you want to live in a dementia inclusive community? If so, you will be very interested in the results of this study which will highlight the positive experiences of local people living with dementia as well as their carers, alongside the barriers and exclusions they face.
“Our doors will be open from 10am-2pm. Come along, have a cup of tea and cake and find out the results!
Directions to The Hamlands Centre can be found on Reminiscence Learning’s website.
