Nominations are now open for the Beyond Future Art Prize 2024 to empower and celebrate women artists, highlighting their unique perspectives and contributions to contemporary art. The Prize invites entries from female artists across the world who focus on the environment, sustainable living and climate change in their work.
The deadline for applications is Friday 15th November 2024. The competition is free to enter.
The winner of the 2024 prize will receive a HK$33,000 (£3,205) cash award (Beyond Future is a Hong Kong based agency).
This year’s theme is “Empowerment and Expression: Celebrating Women Artists”, designed to amplify underrepresented voices and promote diversity. The overarching aim of the competition is to empower women artists to share their unique perspectives on strength, resilience, and identity.
By focusing on creative expression, the Beyond Future Art Prize highlights the role of art in driving social change and environmental awareness. This theme supports Beyond Future’s commitment to sustainability and inclusivity, inspiring future generations and fostering a more equitable world.
The contest is open to amateur and professional female artists around the world aged 15 or above.
Submissions should be original painting, drawing, photography, digital art or short films created after year 2023.
The Judging Panel will evaluate the works by taking into consideration the international contemporary art features and according to qualitative criteria as well as the following technical abilities:
o Originality of the work.
o Novelty.
o Technical Mastery, and
o Message Conveyed.
