The hugely popular TCS London Marathon Charity Ballot offers 500 charities the chance to win a place. Only UK-registered charities that have no charity entries for the 2027 edition of the event can apply. A total of 500 places are available through a random ballot. Only charities that do not already have places in the 2027 edition of the event can apply. No charity is eligible for more than one entry.
The ballot opened on Monday 1st December 2025 and closes at 23:59 on Thursday 11th December 2025. To enter the ballot, charities must complete the application form on the TCS London Marathon website.
Charities will be notified of the results by Friday 19 December 2025.
In 2025, the TCS London Marathon broke the world record for an annual one-day fundraising event, raising a total of £87.3 million for charities. This was an increase from the previous year’s record of £73.5 million raised in 2024.
The 2026 London Marathon will take place on Sunday 26th April, with a date for 2027 yet to be announced.
