Applications now open for the Emile Bruneau Empathy Fund for projects that support building/fostering empathy in children and young people (application deadline: 15 April 2022).

Empathy for Peace,  a Canadian registered not-for-profit organisation based in Toronto, Canada, which operates internationally, has announced the 2022 Call for Applications for the Emile Bruneau Empathy Fund.

The deadline for applications to the Fund, which is open to all countries, is Friday 15th April 2022.

Empathy for Peace welcomes submissions from groups and grassroots organisations for projects that support building/fostering empathy in children and young people

Projects can be located anywhere, however applications from areas of conflict, political or social instability and/or violence will be prioritised.

The Emile Bruneau Empathy Fund aims to support grassroots empathy projects around the world.

Empathy is an invaluable natural resource for conflict transformation. With empathy, they can build a better society because it enables human beings to appreciate other people’s perspective and respond to other people’s thoughts and feelings with an appropriate emotion. Empathy serves as an inhibitor of aggression and conflict, a catalyst of prosocial behaviour, and helps them make better choices that promote a sustainable peace.
