Applications invited for the 10th cycle of the United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund for Victims of Trafficking in Persons – grants of up to £20,000 USD available (application deadline: 28th February 2026)

The United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund for Victims of Trafficking in Persons has launched the Tenth Cycle of its Small Grants Programme to support short-term, high-impact interventions that provide direct assistance and protection to victims of human trafficking worldwide.

The deadline for applications is Saturday 28th February 2026 at 23:59 Central European Time.

The Small Grants Programme is managed by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and is designed to support experienced frontline civil society organisations working directly with victims of trafficking in persons. Projects supported under this call must be victim-centred and grounded in human rights-based approaches that prioritise safety, dignity, confidentiality and empowerment, while ensuring ethical, culturally appropriate and context-specific interventions.

Priority is given to survivor-led organisations and first-time recipients of funding from the Trust Fund, as well as projects that demonstrate strong understanding of trafficking dynamics, clear needs-based problem analysis, and sustainable, resilience-oriented programming. Proposals must show value for money and present realistic, cost-effective budgets, with grant awards of up to USD 20,000 (£14,605)..

Eligible projects are expected to deliver immediate and essential assistance to victims and must be time-bound, results-focused and capable of being implemented within a maximum duration of eight months. The programme encourages coordinated approaches that work in partnership with relevant state institutions, non-governmental organisations, service providers, international organisations, foundations and the private sector, and that build on existing victim protection and assistance frameworks in the country or region of implementation.
