A list of Funding Sources for Churches, Chapels and Religious Causes

One of the grant-making Trusts we’re featuring today in the grants bulletin we send out every weekday morning is the National Churches Trust.

The Trust’s grants are available to any Christian place of worship in the UK that is open for regular worship.  Its grants help keep church buildings in good repair, open for worship and community activities,  and allow them to continue to serve people, communities and visitors in all sorts of ways.

Grants can be used to repair a roof, install a kitchen or accessible toilets, clear asbestos or simply provide help undertaking regular essential maintenance to a building.

Pages 41-45 of the Trust’s Annual Report  provides details of all 258 grants awarded during the the 2022 financial year.

In addition, on page 47 of the Annual Report, the Trust also lists 45 Trusts and Foundations that have provided it with financial support during the year.

If you’re looking for a list of funding sources for churches, this list could be a good place to start. To find out more about each of the funding sources listed, either use a search engine such as Google to find the Trust or Foundation’s website, or use the ‘Find A Charity‘ search function on the Charity Commission website.
