We Are Family Foundation, founded by musician Nile Rodgers, is currently inviting applications to its “Youth To The Front Line” grant programme (application deadline: 30 November 2020)

The We Are Family Foundation (WAFF), which has offices in London and New York, is committed to fighting systemic racism, inequality, inequity and injustice.

The Foundation (WAFF) is a non-profit organisation, founded by the musician Nile Rodgers and inspired by the power and true meaning of his song, “We Are Family“.

The Foundation is dedicated to the vision of a global family by creating and supporting programs that promote cultural diversity while nurturing and mentoring the vision, talents, and ideas of young people who are positively changing the world.

The We are Family Foundation is currently accepting applications from individuals and youth-led organisations to the Youth To The Front Fund (YTTFF) to support and fund under 30-year-old youth activists and organisations led by young people under the age of 30 for projects, innovations and creative solutions that are at the forefront of fighting systemic racism, inequality, inequity and injustice in the United States and around the world.

Eligibility Criteria

o Applicants must be under 30 years of age at the time of the application submission.
o The We Are Family Foundation is seeking project proposals that explicitly address systemic injustices and promote racial equity with and for black, indigenous, and other people of colour (BIPOC) communities in creative and authentic ways.
o While WAFF’s aim is to support and further the work of BIPOC individuals and communities, they also encourage those who do not identify as BIPOC, but offer a project scope and design that illustrates solidarity with BIPOC individuals, communities and organisations, to also apply.

The application deadline to the Youth To The Front Fund is 11:59pm EST on Monday 30 November 2020.
