The Vulnerable Children National Charities Strategic Fund is designed to provide relief to national children’s charities in England and Wales that provide services to safeguard vulnerable children and that have financially suffered due to the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19).
The programme is part of the package of £750M of support for the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations announced by the Chancellor on 8 April 2020.
Please note the imminent application deadline of midday (12 noon) on Wednesday 24 June 2020.
The programme is targeted at voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations
o Whose purpose includes provision of services that safeguard vulnerable children as defined in the government guidance, and they can continue to provide these services safely over the period of funding (until 31 October 2020).
o That offer services nationally throughout England or Wales.
o Whose usual annual income is greater than £40 million.
o Who are in financial distress as a result of a reduction in income or increase in workload due to coronavirus (COVID-19).
o That have not received coronavirus (COVID-19) relief for the same purpose (details of any government relief received relating to coronavirus (COVID-19) must be listed), and
o That were not in financial distress prior to 31 December 2019.
Completed applications should be returned to ChildrensVCSE.COVID19fund@education.gov.uk by midday on 24 June 2020.
