Survey: Spark Somerset invites VCSE organisations in Somerset to help shape its services for the year ahead by completing a short survey (deadline 30 September 2020)

Spark Somerset provides information, advice, training and support to the voluntary and community sector across Somerset.

It also runs the Volunteer Service, inspiring people to get involved and make a difference in their communities.

Spark is busy planning its Training programme for 2020/21 and would like to hear your thoughts to help it improve and shape its service.

Its survey last summer gave Spark some really useful feedback and  – well –  things have changed a lot since then!  Spark want to make sure it can really meet the needs of Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations in Somerset.

The survey should take around 7 minutes – did you know the Guinness World Record* for running a mile whilst balancing a pint of milk on your head is also 7 minutes? This will hopefully be a lot easier – and more useful!

The deadline for completion of the survey is Wednesday 30 September 2020.

Many thanks to Penny Schofield, the Voluntary Sector Development Adviser at Spark, for providing the above text and to Amelia Norton, Funding Officer, for asking us to feature the survey.

The survey can be accessed via this LINK.

Please forward details of the survey to anyone in your contact network that may be interested in helping shape Spark’s services for the critical year ahead.

The Guinness World Record for running a mile while balancing a pint of milk on your head in 7 minutes prompted (I was going to say ‘sparked’ :-)) a discussion between Spark and GRIN about Ashrita Furman. As of 2017, Furman had set more than 600 official Guinness Records and currently holds 226 records, thus holding the Guinness World Record for the most Guinness World Records!
