New Centre for Ageing Better report calls on organisations to rethink their approaches to helping older people to avoid storing up future problems

A major new report from the Centre for Ageing Better, “The State of Ageing in 2019“, uses publicly available data to give a snapshot of what life is like for people aged 65 and older today.

It investigates the prospects for people currently in their 50s and 60s, looking across four crucial areas:

o Work and finances;
o Housing;
o Health; and
o Communities.

The report highlights society’s readiness – or rather lack of readiness – to cope with and to capitalise on our longer lives.

Attractively presented and easy to read, the report can be downloaded for free from the Centre for Ageing Better website.
