JOB OPPORTUNITY – ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT AT ST. PETROCK’S, EXETER

St. Petrock’s is an Exeter-based charity (no. 1090155) which provides  for people who are homeless or vulnerably housed. The charity has been providing a range of support, housing and prevention services to help fill the gaps in services available to individuals in need for over 20 years.

About St. Petrock’s

“St Petrock’s is a small local charity working to address the problems caused by homelessness
in Exeter and the surrounding area. Through our homelessness resource centre in Cathedral
Yard, and via our housing services in the community, we provide a range of emergency,
support and prevention services to help people rebuild their lives and make the transition to
independent living.

About the Role

“A part time position has arisen in St Petrock’s centre office for a motivated, enthusiastic and
pro-active individual who will be responsible for assisting with office procedures & responding
to supporter enquiries.

“Applicants should have good organisational, communication, literacy, IT, numeracy and
interpersonal skills, and should understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion.
Candidates should be adaptable and flexible, capable of working both on their own initiative
and enjoy the variety and challenge of working as part of a team within a busy charity.

“Normal working hours for this post are 20 hours per week, to be worked during core hours
over 3 – 4 days, with some flexibility to meet the needs of both parties.

“The role will be based primarily on-site in St Petrock’s centre office (subject to current COVID
legislation) but may also require some home-working.

“This is a 6 month contract in the first instance, with the possibility of extension subject to
organisational needs.
