GRIN was founded as a cooperative in 2012, although our free daily grants and resources bulletin had been published under the banner of another organisation for many years before that and was originally called 'Funding Bricks' (I wonder if anyone remembers?).  Collectively, the two members of GRIN have over 50 years' experience in the related fields of Community Development, Economic Regeneration and Grants and Funding, and have enabled many not-for-profit organisations to start-up, thrive and survive.

Meet the members of GRIN:

aul Tu
Paul is an award winning bid writer who has secured over £15 million worth of grants for a wide range of South West charities and organisations over the last 14 years. As an experienced local, regional and European grants manager and assessor, Paul also has a perspective 'from the other side of the fence' and is well equipped to advise on what makes a good grant application from the funder's viewpoint.  Paul takes an inclusive approach to working with organisations and is keen to share the skills and techniques required to develop strong and convincing bids. He is a  member of the Institute of Fundraising and has a Masters Degree in Strategic Management from the University of Bristol.

Dominie Dunbrook 
Dominie has been working
 in funding advice and grants management for over 15 years. She has a comprehensive knowledge of different types of funding sources, gained while working for the Big Lottery Fund, the voluntary sector and in local government. Dominie has provided funding advice to all sectors during her career and has helped many organisations secure the resources they need to take their projects forward. She has also designed and delivered training programmes for both the voluntary and statutory sectors. Dominie is a volunteer grants panellist for Devon Community Foundation and currently manages the Making It Local and REAL Devon LEADER funding programmes.
