Fundraising Courses in Torbay - available to all (you don't need to be based in Torbay)

Torbay Development Agency (TDA) has just announced 3 Fundraising Training Courses which will be held in Torquay in June, July and September 2017.

All the courses will be facilitated by Paul Courtney, Director of Kairos Funding Solutions and Chair of Institute of Fundraising South West.  Paul is a highly experienced fundraiser who has supported numerous small charities to develop sustainable fundraising strategies, write successful fundraising bids and to diversify their funding streams.

Booking is on-line only and places are limited, so please book as soon as possible.

The courses, which are open to anyone to attend from across the South West (and further if you fancy spending some time in the English Riviera!), are:

1.Maximising Income from Trusts and Foundations - This course is designed for people new to trust and foundation fundraising and those already in this field.The day will cover getting your charity ready,developing your case for support and projects.researching and developing contacts,creating the very best application and making sure that fundraising from trusts is sustainable in the long-term.

2.Raising Funds without grants: engaging support from the community  - All the support we need is right on our doorstep - if we go out and get it! This half day workshop will explore creative ways to engage the community in our work as charities. Staging events (without big costs!),sharing stories and generating interest that makes people aware of all we do and compels them to give or get involved. Come and explore what you could do to win support without filling out grant applications!

3.Individual Giving: telling your story and maximising response- This full day course will look at all the key ingredients to maximise donations from individuals.It will look at how we communicate our case for support for different audiences,exploring one-off and regular gifts, in-memory and legacy giving and also make sure we are making the most of Gift Aid.
