Community Business Trade Up programme opens to applications

The Community Business Trade Up programme opened to applications on 12 December 2018 and will close at 1pm on 14 February 2019.

The Community Business Trade up programme is based on an innovative funding model where grant money of up to £10,000 is allocated in equal proportion to the additional income which your organisation can generate from trading.

The programme is run by School for Social Entrepreneurs, in partnership with Power to Change. It will help the leaders of up to 80 community businesses across England with:

o A learning programme of 12 days spread over nine months;
o A grant of up to £10,000 to match the income generated from trading; and
o A community of people running organisations similar to yours.

The programme runs from June 2019 to March 2020..

Courses will run from eight locations across England:

o Cornwall;
o Bristol;
o Winchester, Hampshire;
o Midlands (location to be confirmed);
o London (two locations);
o Liverpool; and
o York.
