Business lender MarketFinance has launched a Business Booster Fund that will make grants of £5,000 available to UK small businesses and eligible charities. Grants are “aimed at supporting passionate and driven UK-based entrepreneurs, giving them a kickstart as they head into 2021.”
Any business can apply in any sector, as long as it’s been trading for at least 2 years and is showing positive growth. It’s not necessary to be an existing customer of MarketFinance to be eligible for the grant. MarketFinance is “keen to support those who value diversity, inclusion and giving back.”
Business owners are encouraged to complete a short application form by Thursday 31st December 2020 to express their interest.
In the first round, 3 businesses will be selected and announced on Wednesday 6th January 2021.
Timings of subsequent rounds will be confirmed in 2021. Interested companies should apply to MarketFinance.
The application is open to UK based businesses which have:
o Been trading for over 24 months.
o Have an annual turnover greater than £100,000.
o Have filed accounts on Companies House.
o Have the ability to demonstrate positive growth/expansion.
o Have no signs of financial difficulty.
o Have accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks or Sage), and
o Havea current Diversity & Inclusion policy.
